I’m putting this in the bug section because it feels like something that was intended but forgotten about.
Replication steps:
- Open an Actor blueprint
- Make a new variable with a category
- Right click on that category’s heading in the variables list
- Select new variable
- It creates a new variable but with the default category (it should create a variable in that category)
I assume it was simply overlooked, as duplicating a variable has the intended effect. I haven’t updated to 4.15.1 yet but this happens in 4.15.0
