Multiple roots found

hello,

i am rigging a tree in cinema4d to wave a bunch of branches back and forth. i set up the bones and animated them and it looks good in c4d.

when i export the fbx and import it into ue4, i get an import failure and it says that there are multiple roots found. i only have one bone named root. i do have a lot of bones in null objects because without the nulls the animation doesn’t work. any c4d users or anyone know why i’m getting that error? thanks for any guidance!!

never mind i figured it out. you can’t have any nulls in the bone chain and all bones must be placed underneath one root bone.
