One thing you can try would be to change the time dilation when your parachute is deployed. The Set Custom Time Dilation node can be set between 0 and 1, lower values will make the character move slower while a value of 1 is the normal game speed.

The only thing I want is that when I press a button, the drop will stop and if I stop pressing, I will drop at normal speed.
In that case you can try setting the time dilation to 0 which will stop the character movement until you change the time dilation back to 1.
That has not worked for me.
