Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cannot find the "mesh" variable to connect to get anim instance

Hey, so I am completely new to Unreal Engine 4 and am trying to do exactly this: https://youtu.be/ub6a9DNP5Qc?t=10m59s However when I get a "get anim instance" it does not connect the mesh variable like it does in the video. I cannot seem to find a mesh variable even though when I try to create one it says that it already exists. Here is a picture of what I've got: http://imgur.com/a/F3HEb

Could someone help me with this? Thanks!

1 answer: sort voted first

In your components tab on the top left, left mouse click on "mesh(inherited)" and drag out into the blueprint event graph.

Even though inherited components aren't listed in the variables tab, they still are.
