Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Rotation and swinging at the same time

Hi all,

I am trying to create an actor that will spin, and have attached to it 'swinging pendulums', like a carousel. I know how to create both parts, I was just wondering if there is a way to combine the two components so that as the object rotates, other parts will swing off it.

If this is in anyway confusing, I am trying to create something similar to this; alt text

A quick response would be very helpful.

Many thanks,

Hello, here is a little video with the physics you seem to be looking for:

Just make sure to parent each swing to the main spinning contraption so that its position automatically updates as it spins.

Hope this helps :)
