I am a beginner at game development and was wondering, for new game devs is Unreal a good alternative for beginners or are there other platforms that would be better for beginners?
I going to say yes with a but in there.
It’s good because Blueprints make it easy to get a game up and running without code and the other tools are really good as well.
But like anyone new to game development don’t expect everything to go well on your first attempt.

It’s the same with any engine, start with some tutorials and jump in to see what you can do.
