Hi kurylo3d,

I attempted to reproduce this but I couldn’t get your results. How many static meshes are in your scene? Can you reproduce this in a smaller project that you can upload here?

It is a very large amount of static meshes in the scene… along with terrain. To give you an idea here are screenshots… lots of modular development Stuff… On another note i used a radius of about 4000 for the HLOD to generate… as well as checked on the terrain occlusion option or whatever its called… Not sure if i could make this happen in a smaller project… probably wouldnt have a problem in a smaller project… but i got 24 gb of ram… so the idea of me running out of memory seems crazy.

But this entire environment does have interior and exterior with loads of individual meshes… so who knows…

Another thing i forgot to mention is there are like 15 sub levels all loaded at the same time by default.

Update It seems to generate the clusters with a distance of 2000. I also removed the checkboxes for terrain culling or whatever for mesh generation (Though i have not generated meshes yet.)

Does this mean theres a bit of a limit to distance and amount of objects?

I don’t know of any hard limits on distance or the amount of meshes. The amount of meshes you can generate clusters for should directly correlate to your PC specs.

Could you post your Dxdiag?

I’m assuming you can only recreate this in your project? Can you post a screenshot of all the setting in the Hierarchical LOD window?

Here is the DX Diag… i will say i updated the drivers since ive had the problem, but other problems still continue. Its like i try to generate clusters 3x in a row failing every time… even with the distance set to 2000, but then eventually it went through … so cool…(with 2000 distance)

I then built the actual cluster meshes for HLODs… worked fine, but now if i try to build light maps like this it only makes it 0.06% for the lightmaps… so its like 10 different bugs at the same time… i apologize if it takes too long to respond, im just hitting so many bugs at the same time.

I tried it on a variety of settings… with the distnace set to 4000 or 5000 it always runs out of memory and crashes unreal… video memory i beleive. for a gtx 980m
