Animation track for camera

Hello,

I’m looking to import my camera animation from mobu to sequencer, but it use the transform to import the keys and I found some problems with that.

For exemple, I can’t play with the weight and blend to other animations. It could be nice to have an animation track like on characters. With that, we could adjust the weigh of the camera animation and use the transform track to animate movements of the camera.

In my case, I want to import a camera shake animation from motion builder and animate the camera movement into sequencer. So I could play with the weigh of the shake and have less problem than using two transform track at the same time.

For now, I’m force to deal with two transform tracks, one that contains the shake, and the other has the movement of my camera. In addition, my camera is link to rails that are moving too. So I end up with all kinds of bugs happening and the camera just can’t support it. It goes everywhere in the world.

So my question is: Do you plan adding animation tracks on the camera in sequencer? It could resolve a lot of problems and bugs.

You might want to create a single bone camera and import that as a skeletal mesh. With that you can import the camera animation as skeletal animations.
