vr contents in the exhibition hall

We want to explain the interior to the buyers through the vr contents in the exhibition hall. We also want to test the vr contents in the show room inside the company and share them internally. Do I have to pay royalties to share my vr content with internal people instead of commercial launches? How do I pay royalties if my vr content is permanently displayed in the exhibition hall?

It doesn’t sound like there is any royalty for these uses. In the cases you describe, is anyone paying directly for access to the VR content?

If it is used internally, no one pays the production fee separately.

However, if vr content is produced and exhibited at the exhibition, the exhibitor will pay for the content production cost. Content delivered to the exhibition will be paid once at the beginning of the production. Because of the nature of the exhibit, we do not pay admission fees for only one piece of content, so we are wondering how to pay royalties. If you have to pay royalties as an admission fee, I wonder if the organizer is paying or paying by the content producer.

How do I pay royalties when I produce vr content at an exhibition production company?

Most local exhibitions are free of charge. In this case, is it necessary to pay royalties on the initial production costs?

Under the EULA, work-for-hire fees are royalty-free. So if a client hires you to do custom, unique VR work for them, those work-for-hire fees are royalty free.

The question of whether the exhibition revenue is subject to royalty is more complicated. Could you say more about what the exhibition is and how it would receive revenue?

If there is no revenue, there is no royalty. And as I mentioned above, the work-for-hire fees are royalty free.

We are producing exhibitions to promote the region or technology. We want to promote contents and VR devices made by UE4 among various contents placed in the exhibition space. For example, experiencing a virtual primitive age, experiencing a virtual nuclear power plant inside, and so on. The costs incurred in the exhibition are building exhibition space (construction cost), contents production cost, labor cost. Each of these is subdivided into separate costs. It is free for the visitors to use the exhibition, but it costs to produce the exhibition. I wonder if it will cost you to make some of your content using UE4 when you create an exhibition.

Ah, in that case there is no royalty because the exhibition is free to end users. It sounds like an interesting project - if you are successful please let us know about it!

Thank you for your kind reply. I will share the demonstration video when the exhibition space is built.
