Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can video textures play on imported static meshes?

I am trying to apply a video texture/material to a static mesh scoreboard screen that I imported as a .fbx as part of an arena project I am working on. I used the instructions previously provided here:

https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/MediaFramework/HowTo/FileMediaSource/index.html

The mesh displays the background color of the video when the media player plays the video but does not actually play the video itself. I noticed this is not a problem however when the video texture/material is applied to a mesh in the shapes folder of the starter content.

Can video textures/materials not be played on imported static meshes?
