Deleting BSP Faces results in invisible faces of nearby BSPs

When deleting a face (e.g. to remove unseen faces), of a BSP brush, nearby faces of other brushes disappear.
Sometimes the Order of the Brushes affects which faces get deleted.
Can this be fixed?

Hey Raildex_,

So I tested your issue back to 4.13.2 and it occurs up to the 4.16 preview 1 release. I did make a discovery about this behavior though. It appears that whichever face you are modifying, brushes that are close enough and match the surface normals of that particular face, are the ones that get clipped and modified.

In any case, I went ahead and entered a bug to have it investigated.

UE-44564

There is a simple enough workaround, which is to convert your BSP’s to a static mesh. This will keep the deleted faces you need, and cause the surrounding BSP’s that were affected by the issue to be resolved.

Thanks,

Hello,

Is this bug fixed already? I am new in Unreal and I am finding this bug very annoying when blocking out a level.

Thank you for your time,

Daniel

Yes but then we can’t do stuff like copy it and dynamically edit it and scale the UV textures, and all the other benifits that BSP’s bring, which is why this solution won’t work for me
