Material Node 2-3 extra Texture Sample

Hi all guys, I’m working on realy big material chain. And I noticed that on empty material you got like 2 Texture samples by defaul. Now after I make a realy big chain that used all nodes in material it still using 2 extra texture samples reducing the max texture I can use by 2 so from 16 is going down to 14. Is normal our there is a setting that permit to ovverride the old texture that the material node use by default?

In this screen I show you that my texture count was 10/16. But in this case I’m using only 7 texture samples.

Yes it’s normal, depend on which node you use it can bring some additional texture.
