AimOffset 1D as pin causes node to throw error

Hi!

I’m currently experimenting with exposing variables and changing them out and keeping the same state machine for most of the character states. However, I’m running into a big problem when operating with the aim node.

Before connecting the exposed blend space pin to the variable:

It then doesn’t compile, nor does it function. Does anyone on this forum have any ideas as to what I could do?
