Can I import chosen assets from a set of assets within a single FBX?

I often export my work by having many assets within a single FBX file and then import all into Unreal. However, when I add a new mesh to the FBX I have no way of telling Unreal that I only want to import this new asset.

Before in UE3, the import dialogue box would show a list of all assets within the FBX, and you could tick or untick assets from the list and just import those selected - where has this option gone to in UE4?

In UE4 you can coise to combine meshes our take them uncombined so it import all asset like different meshes. You cant coise what import and what not. You can only import all un combined meshes and after delet manualy what you dont need.

Under the importing settings in the Mesh group expand extra menu

Now check our uncheck Combine Meshes in function of your needs.

Thanks for your response, but unfortunately I’m not talking about combining assets into one.
As you mentioned though, it seems Unreal 4 can’t or won’t let you choose what assets to import from a single FBX.

Thanks again.
