Reset/edit pivot

How can I edit a static mesh’s pivot point?

Hey Patrick,

In the editor you can temporarily move it by switching to Orthographic view and then hold alt and middle click where you want it to be. You can then manipulate the object like that is the pivot point, but it will revert back when no longer selected. If your looking for a more permanent solution you will need to move your object in your content creator ( Maya, Max, etc ) the origin of the world is considered your pivot point.

Best Regards,

Ryan

Cool. Thanks Ryan

Hey Ryan,
Sorry for resurrecting this after all that time  but…
Are they planning to make a permanent option for this? Or is it already available?
I mean if i send my SM to origin then I am losing relative position to other objects if I don’t I have to deal with every SM with a gizmo that is in the same location. It’s fairly time consuming. Can’t we just import a scene with multiple SMs and have their gizmos in the center of each object itself (or fix it later on after import)
Thanks and regards

Linked the solution.
