UMG Text flickering when using Outline Material and Separate Fill Alpha

I am using the standard simple text widget. I set alpha = 0 in “Color and Opacity”, Outline Size = 1
and use a Ountline Material. When I play the Game or hover about random options in the editor,
sometimes boxes of the size of the letters appear (with the same material as OutlineMaterial) for a fraction of a second.
This is independent of OutlineSize and it doesn’t matter if alpha is set to a value bigger than zero in “Color and Opacity”.
But the effect vanishes if I remove the OutlineMaterial.

I was unable to reproduce this issue on our end. I have a couple questions that will help me narrow down the issue you are experiencing.

  1. Can you reproduce this consistently?
  2. Does this issue occur if the outline size is larger than 1?
  3. Could you provide a screenshot or video of the flickering taking place?
