Custom Lens Flare PostProcess Effect

So hello again,
as I am starting to modify the Engine itself I am also wanting to add some new effects, the first one is a custom Lens flare, more precisely the Chapman Lens Flare. My problem is that I do not really know where to start integrating this as it seems like the Engine is not that expendable if it comes to Post Process Effects done in the Material Editor.
So does someone here knows a method (either C++ or Material Editor, doesn’t matters which one) for integrating this Lens Flare?

john-chapman-graphics: Pseudo Lens Flare Even if someone tells where to start integrating the code on this side it would already be helpful as I’ve never really done that kind of Engine Modification.

Is there really no one who knows a good method for integrating this?
