Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

After updating from 4.15 to 4.15.2, UE4 crashes at startup - even for 4.16 preview 3.

I've restarted my computer and tried opening UE4 from a different user. I'm not sure what to do.

Bug report:

You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash.

Product Version: UE 4.15

From the launcher choose "Verify" for 4.15.2. For Mac it needs to Mac OS Sierra. You can also choose options and select the "Error symbols for debugging" installation.

Hello Asusralis,

I have a couple questions to help narrow down the issue you are experiencing.

  1. What drivers are you using and are they up to date?

  2. In the options that appear by clicking the yellow arrow next to the engine version, can you enable the option "Editor symbols for debugging"? This will allow you to see the callstack of your crash.

  3. Can you upload the Callstack that appears from the crash?

Thanks!
