Scene looks off after engine update, how can i fix it?

Hi, after i updated the Engine from 4.8 to 4.15 recently and converted a project of mine i noticed that it looked off. The lighting intensity, contrast, specularity and the fooliage in general look slightly different. The scene has the exact same set up and i use high scalability settings. I updated and replaced reflection captures and lights and it didn’t help. I also made sure that the post process effects are the same. The scene looks rather soft and the fooliage subtle in the 4.8 version and high contrast and too saturated in 4.15. I don’t like the way it looks in the newer version. Why does it look so different and is there a way to fix it?

First Image is from 4.8 and second 4.15

You jumped 7 Versions and expect similar Results cO so much has changed overall there is no easy fix for that. Catch up on the Release Notes (prepare for a long read) Release Notes | Unreal Engine Documentation

Also thats not a Bug :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

4.8.0 Release 06/08/2015. Thats over a year of Engine Changes ^^

I never said i expected anything, that’s just your assumption. I just asked why those particular changes happened. I read the notes of the updates and some things, like the change of specularity make sense but others like the extreme change in lighting intensity and contrast, don’'t. It seems like the tonemapper change from 4.14 to 4.15 causes the weird contrast though. which is BAD. After doing some more research it seems that many people have the same problems since the 4.15 upgrade.

That’s correct, you got that right.
