Warning: Warning Not enough login credentials to launch all PIE instances, modify [/Script/UnrealEd.UnrealEdEngine].PIELogins

I have used today github master snapshot to compile new version of engine.

All run fine until i set play mode to dedicated server and 1+ player or 2 players with listen server.

When I click play I get this message:

“Couldn’t spawn player: Failed to find PlayerStart”

Which can’t be true since I have two on level ;).
In output log I found this:

Warning: Warning Not enough login credentials to launch all PIE instances, modify [/Script/UnrealEd.UnrealEdEngine].PIELogins

But so far i couldn’t find anywhere the PIELogins in config files, and even then I have no idea what should I add it.

Hi iniside,
I’m sorry you’re having this issue.

Which version did you download from GitHub? UE 4.2.1 (Latest Release) or UE Preview Build (Pre-release)?

I used code from master branch from about 6h ago. Iactually wrote it in the question
I had troubles compiling preview build, but with code from master branch and some lib depdenciens from preview build I was able to compile and run.

Sorry about that, I missed it in your question.

No problem.

Is that issue related to code, or it can be mitigated by setup this PIELogin variable inside config file ? If the latter is the case then fix should be easy, enough if I know how to setup it.

Thank you for the feedback.

I was able to reproduce this in our internal build, which is essentially what you downloaded from GitHub. Unfortunately I am not sure how to fix it, so I’ve submitted this issue to our developers to investigate.

If this is a showstopper for your project though, as a workaround I confirmed that this bug doesn’t exist in 4.2.1.

Thanks, TJ

I’m got this message in 4.4.0-0 today (Sept 17th) , and a level that was working in multiplayer now shows black in the client window and hangs

Hi iniside,

The original issue should now be fixed in version 4.4.3 of the editor, upgrading should correct it.

Zirrad, this may fix your issue as well. It was not included in the version you are using, 4.4.0.
