No compiler was found with Visual Studio 2017 Community

Hello,

Just updated to 4.16 version of the engine. After that when i try launch and create a C++ project it always say same thing “No comipiler was found. In order to use a C++ template, you must first install VS 2017” and the installer click just next to text.

I already use vs 2017 community version of my projects and works fine. Searched related problems on the net and try many things. Such as; verify engine, reinstall engine, repair my vs, unreal engine installer delete and install again all and i already installed all related c++ and other things for vs even that i dont use programs.

Please help me on that problem for a newest version.

Thanks for everything guys!

In the project settings, select all settings and find a compiler option there.

For new projects I recommend using the installer that comes with VS and check the option for game programming for c++. Inside this module you can download the UE4 downloader and it will become compatible.

Opened a bluprint project and tried source code to vs 2017 but did not change anything. I will try uninstall vs 2017 and reinstall again. Also already installed everything include UE installer under game programming.

Solved today! Uninstall vs 2017 totally and install within UE tab. Working normally now.
