What PC build for an ambitious console game development

Hi everyone,
So far ive been learning UE4 and havent started my actual project. Ive been learning on a samsung laptop intel i5 @ 2.50ghz with integrated graphics, 15" screen 6gb ram and its been a nightmare. opening up the simple starter screen slows everything down. materials take forever to load up. im starting to think there should be a health risk warning for people with low specs
this question has been asked before and there are good recommendations specifically from Stephen Ellis but that was two years ago and in computing thats like an eternity.
So what is the best pc build for developing a Gears of War/Dishonored ambition level game for a maximum of £1500. slightly over isnt a problem. if thats optimistic let me know
Graphics card
Ram
Video card
display monitor/projector
everything else that i dont know i need
I dont know much about graphics cards and displays but i plan on using an old 32" hdtv as a display or alternatively does anyone use or have any experience with using a projector.
Finally ive read ssd provides the best/smoothest experience but im not sure if thats a huge boost over hdd (anyone used both for ue4)
Thank you in advance everybody

Sure SDD is good, it’s faster 10 times than a hard disk and it is very recommended.
For the graphics you can choose a gtx 1060 6Gb that is a very good card for graphics works and price ( about 300$).
And the i5 is not very good… An i7 7700k is about 350$ and works perfectly.
Also the ram is very important, 32gb is good, ddr4 is better than dd3 but depends on your motherboard.

I think it’s the best choice whit a medium budget.
But remember those kind of games benefits a big budget!

Hi thanks for your answer. What would be a good motherboard youd recommend

Youarewelcome bud.
I was wondering to buy a new pc too but my budget was very poor lol.
Z170 supports the mentioned CPU and ddr4 too

imo save up to avoid the headache of developing on low specs.
Im looking at the z170 you mentioned but theres all these different models. ill probably make another post at a later time asking what everyone thinks of the build i arrive at

Hi again,
Quick question does anybody know whether or not having a quad channel motherboard and cpu means you MUST have 4 ram modules
i chose the maximus ix hero ROG board
