Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Unusual Crash when Debugging

Whenever I try to run my project through visual studio under the windows debugger, I get the following message:

Exception thrown at 0x00007FF83B649E08 in IncreaseEntropy.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: xSharedMemoryException at memory location 0x00000078756CF210.
Assertion failed: HasFoundDataDirectory [File:D:\Build\++UE4+Release-4.16+Compile\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\Internationalization\ICUInternationalization.cpp] [Line: 128]
ICU data directory was not discovered:

Worth noting is that I don't even have a D drive. This happens when I try to debug DebugGame, Development, and Shipping. I don't know if it was caused by updating to 4.16 because I hadn't tried to debug this project until now.

Product Version: UE 4.16

Hey Expert700 and nullbus-

Sorry for the late reply, does this happen in a brand new project when entering debug mode through VS? Do you get the same message when debugging in 4.17? Since you're not using Development Editor, did you cook content for the project prior to running in debug? If this is still occurring for you, can you provide setup/reproduction steps to help me test the behavior on my end?
