Feature Request: Better Sky Sphere (Better Clouds)

It would be cool if UE4 test levels included a better Sky Sphere blueprint with better default shadows and options. This would be a pretty clear win since the default Sky Sphere so rarely gets replaced with something better.

This would help differentiate UE4 from competing engines by creating a richer, more engaging looking sky. It would provide users with a better starting point for customizing creating more interesting scenery.

The default Sky Sphere clouds blend far too much into the sky color. Any undershadows get obliterated by the default blending method. The clouds lack rim highlights from the sun light above. There’s no possibility to create light shafts due to the thin, non 3D nature. The clouds look flat, boring, and devoid of any artistic possibilities. In short, these clouds suck.

I hope that we begin to see improvements to the Sky Sphere clouds so that UE4 users can create more breathtaking environments with less effort and time. Also, it would reduce the need for users to acquire/purchase static Sky Box images to achieve a realistic sky.

Hope you agree!

Thanks!
