Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Where does UE4 store Vertex Paint info?

Hi!

This question arised after a mismatch in our workflow regarding a Static Mesh. Said SM needed to be vertex painted, which was on my end but it wasn't on my developer's end, so in handed him over the SM exported from UE4 assuming (i dont know why) it would export the vertex paint info as well.

It didn't. The SM landed without any vertex paint. No big deal, we just updated the project in another way, but that let us wondering: how UE4 handles vertex paint then? it seems it doesn't stores it in the mesh.

We would like to know and to use that info later on (probably), but apparently there are no references on the matter.

Any help would be useful.
