Why Does The UE4 Not Let Me Use The Settings I Want To In Material Translucency?

I want to use these settings in UE4 Material Transucency: Metalic, Specular, Roughness and Normal. But The Engine just doesn’t let me! I Tried to use Surface TransparencyVolume and Volumetric NonDirectional but they just break everything.

My mission was to make a water like surface. Without transperancy i did well, but when it came to making foam around objects and opacity depending of depth, it just became a complete stop.

Maybe im missing something? Or maybe i do need to update the engine from 4.16.0? i dont know…

It may be simple: have you applied the materials in your scene?

For some reason the preview is black.
Otherwise try to set the specular to 1 and change the opacity value.
