I just got Rocket installed and the Microsoft compiler. Rocket Loads and I tried the Third person Template. It pops up a window saying there is a newer version and asks if I wish to update. I click Yes and get this error:
Source Control is unresponsive. Please check your connection and try again.
Hi Jerry,
So you installed Rocket Beta 4, and then you created a new Third Person Template project (did you choose Code or Blueprint?).
Can you explain more about the pop-up window? What is it saying has a new version?
Thanks for any more clarification.
I simply went to File/Open Projects…
The went to C:/Program Files/Rocket/Templates/ “And chose any one of them”
It will load the one you choose then it will pop up a window saying there is a newer version and asks if I wish to update. I click Yes and get this error:
“Source Control is unresponsive. Please check your connection and try again.”
Thanks for clarifying, I did not realize you were opening the Templates directly. I have reported the issue for investigation.
Meanwhile, if you wish to work with the Templates, I recommend that you create a New Project, and select one of the Templates as a base. The error messages do not occur with this method.
Regards,
-Stephen
Sounds good. Just thought you should know about it.
As a side Note: Message/Warning windows that pop up “Should” Minimize if the Editor is Minimized. They don’t seem to at this time.
