Launcher won't create photorealistic character demo project

Hi. Using Unreal Engine 4.16 version, if I click “create project” for “Photorealistic Character bust demo”, then chose the destination folder, when I click Create, nothing happens. What to do ?

Try the following:

  • Restart the launcher
  • Run Launcher as admin
  • Ensure you have enough space for the project
  • Try clearing the project, and re-downloading it (with admin)

I tried to run the launcher as an admin, I verified and I have enough space, and the project was still never downloaded.

I have eventually chosen to download the project version for 4.15 instead of 4.16 and it is downloading, so I guess this is a launcher bug on the Epic’s side. Loading the 4.15 project into 4.16 seems to work fine for now.

I

Oh it seems like it could possibly be a bug with 4.16 then, I have downloaded the project on 4.15 with no issues also. Glad you could get it working

Hey mahri726,

It would seem your hunch about the 4.16 project is correct, there does appear to be some issue with it. I’ve raised the issue with the team in question.

Thank you for your bug report.

+1… In 4.16.1, If you create selecting 4.15, it creates, but you can’t use it due to file association issues, and I don’t know how to “upgrade” a project yet to 4.16.1.

Does definitely appear to be a luncher bug with the Sample.

Hey All,

The issue has been resolved. 4.16 is now available on the Launcher.

Thank you for your patience
