Animation Retarget Blows up model

So ive been using UE4 now for about a month maybe more…I have decided to try(Like Millions of others) a Zeldish game. I found a link model on Deviant art. it was a XLanara model. I imported to blender made sure it had a bone structure and exported to FBX format and Import to UE4. I get it set up woth textures and place it on my map and it is fine just in the T-Pose setting there. so i go to retarget the animation and thats where my problem comes in. I followed 2 tutorials and no avail. after setting the rig and retargeting animations all you see in the animation is his feet. Any help would be appreciated. Also almost forgot it also says my bone structure is to small to create a physics asset if that helps any.
