How to manage relative rotation of a child (Images)

Hi All,

I think this will be easy for the the people here!.

I have a find look at rotation targeting a Rinterp to that sets the new relative rotation.

As this object is a child from another, i cant use world rotation because it mess up. The problem i am having is that when the main object rotates it dosnt reflect that rotation in the child…so the blueprint thinks that the child didnt rotate and dont refresh in a proper way the x axie to target the find look at rotation. I tried using world rotation for the Rinterp To and then setting relative rotation and viceversa…but dont get any luck…Images below.

pd: the systm didnt allow me to upload two more photos with the blueprint.i will keep trying…THANKS!!!

Can you post a screenshot from another angle (top and left preferably). Its quite difficult to make out anything out of these two images.

If you want the child to follow the parents rotation, why dont you simply attach it to the parent and use relative rotations to manipulate its rotation wrt to parent. Sorry if I am not making sense,…I dont quite understand what your issue is.

Thanks mindfane for involving!.

i added the blueprint screenshot. the turret is attached as a child to the ship, it follows the rotation on the ship but apart from that it should point with the X axies to the object from the “find look at rotation”. the problem is that when i rotate the ship, the turret (child) follows the rotation of the ship but it dont point with the X axies to the object correctly.

Please let me know if it still confussing and i will post more images (don know why it dont let me to put more than 2 images per post)

Base: child object

New var: object that the child should point

thanks again!
