Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Why do my point lights turn off when they go out of the cameras peripheral vision?

I'm having an issue where I have a few point lights placed around my level. However as soon as the point light component goes out of the cameras peripheral vision (when I am still stood blatantly in the lit up area), the point light turns itself off and when I bring it back into view, it switches back on.

Anyone here had an issue similar?

Hi Kagamusha -

Can you let me know what types are you using, Static, Stationary, or Movable and how many you have in the area that is causing you problems?

Thank You

Hey Eric, I have about 3 within the radius and they are static lights.

1 answer: sort voted first

Hi Kagamusha -

Since you are using Static Lights, It is probably the culling of the geometry and static meshes which are causing the lights to vanish. Static lights only work on geometry and if the geometry isn't there then the light's influence is also not there.

Change the lights to Stationary or Movable and see if they also disappear.

Thank You
