[BUG] Atmosphere must be turned off to select Builder Brush faces

Build Info
Version: 1808360

Install Path: C:/Program Files/Rocket

Specs
OS: Windows 8 64-bit

RAM: 24 GB

Graphics Card: GTX 650 Ti 2GB GDDR5 – Driver 314.22

UAC: On

Description
In order to select the Builder Brushes’ faces I need to turn Atmosphere Off

Repro Steps
Load a default map which contains Atmosphere.

Select the Builder Brush

Select the Edit BSP tools

Attempt to select Builder Brush faces

In the Editor’s window, Select “SHOW” and disable Atmosphere.

Results
Notice the brush polys are evident with Atmosphere Enabled, but when you Disable it, it reverts to a wireframe representation of the Builder Brush

Expected
The Builder Brush is a translucent primitive whereby faces are accessible even with Atmosphere Enabled. This is the case with Additive BSP brushes and with UE3 and UDK via “Geometry Mode”.

Hi David,

I require some clarification (and possibly screenshots) for this issue, because I am not experiencing the results you explain.

I have loaded the Default map (it contains an AtmosphericFog). Here are the steps I followed:

  1. Press F2 to select the Builder Brush
  2. Enable BSP mode (Shift+2)
  3. Click the “Edit Brush” button
  4. Click on a face of the brush

RESULT: The face becomes selected, and the widget updates to the center of the face (see screenshot)

I experience no issue selecting a face when Atmosphere is enabled. I am also confused when you say that the brush reverts to wireframe. Do you also have the the Draw Brush Marker Polys setting enabled? (I experience no issue with this setting enabled also)

Please let me know if I am taking different steps than you are.

Thanks!
