RunUAT.bat ERROR: AutomationTool was unable to run successfully

I just setup my Visual Studio stuff for UE4, and every time I try to launch a game from the editor I get the error: “LogPlayLevel:Display: RunUAT.bat ERROR: AutomationTool was unable to run successfully.” I already took the advice online to switch the UE4.sln configuration from Development Editor to Development, but that did not change the results. Please help!

In order to further investigate your issue, would you mind sharing a couple vital pieces of information? Could you share your project files with us so that we may investigate the error that you are seeing? Could you also provide your dxdiag so we can see what PC specs you are using to run UE4?

Follow-up: I think the error I was receiving may have just been caused by a mistake in the installation process. Upon deleting my saved UE4 folders and creating a new repository entirely, making sure every step was followed correctly, I am no longer receiving the error. I also kept the configuration of the solution at Development Editor and no problems occurred. Thanks for trying to help solve the problem, but I guess it wasn’t actually an issue.
