How can I load class reference from string?

For saving and loading, I’d like to store my pawn class name, and load that into “DefaultPawnClass”.

e.g.

// Save pawn class name as string
FString pawnClassName = MyPlayerCharacter->GetClass()->GetName();

// Load pawn class from string reference
DefaultPawnClass = SOMEMAGICFUNCTION(pawnClassName....);

I’m doing exactly what you describe. The function you’re looking for is FindObject, used like this:

UClass* DefaultPawnClass = FindObject<UClass>(ANY_PACKAGE, *pawnClassName);
