Unable to install the engine

If i go into my Library, i see the version 4.2.1 to download.
If i click on the yellow install button, it says “Please Wait…”
After some minutes the “Please Wait…” dissapears and i no longer got the 4.2.1 to download.
At this point i see 4.1.2 to with the standart yellow install button?!?!
If i restart and go into the Library again, it displays this:

"

Does anyone know how to fix this and just download the latest version?? Thanks!^^

Hi Reaper2k,

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. We could use some additional information to help troubleshoot this.

  • What is your operating system and version?
  • What type of internet connection do you have?
  • Are you behind a firewall or proxy?

Also, we ask if you could please upload your log with “veryverbose” logging enabled. To accomplish this, first close the Launcher. Then, navigate to this location:

C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\Launcher\Engine\Programs\NoRedist\UnrealEngineLauncher\Config
Open the file" DefaultEngine.ini into Notepad.

At the very end, add the following (without the bulletpoints)

  • [Core.Log]
  • LogHttp=veryverbose
  • LogOnline=veryverbose

Save the file and make sure that it saves successfully with the changes.

Then, run the Launcher until it gives you the error message.

Close the Launcher again, and navigate to this folder location:

c:\users\YOUR_USER\appdata\local\unrealenginelauncher\saved\logs
If you open the most recent log in the list, it should have a lot of information inside of it. Put this log in a zip file, and attach it here.

Thank you for for patience while we try to determine why this issue is occurring for you.
