UE4 won't launch

When I click the launch button it prompts me to pick a blank scene or a sample scene.UE4 won’t open no matter what preset I choose. I just bought this a couple of days ago and I have not once been able to open the engine.

07/08/14 Updating and just reminding that the above listed issue is still existing and none of the previously listed solutions have worked. thank you.

07/11/14 I attempted running the 4.3 preview and it almost launched but gave me an error saying “Out of video memory trying to allocate rendering resource.”

Thanks guys!

7/14/14 Sorry for the delay. It’s some weird stock graphics card. Intel(HD) Graphics Family is what my DxDiag says. So, you are probably right I will need a new graphics card. Thanks again.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue, and I will begin investigation into this as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

Thank you.

Hi ,

Could you please update your post with some of the information requested in the link I posted above?

Hi ,

Thank you for providing your DXDIAG information. We looked up the information for your system, and if you are using the stock components for that system, it is likely that the integrated graphics included is not sufficient to successfully run the Engine. The information provided by HP about that system model is not conclusive, but based on the information that they do provide and the error that you mentioned seeing, you may need to install a dedicated graphics card.

If you have added a graphics card to your system, that information did not come through in the DXDIAG information. If that is the case, could you please let us know what that graphics card is?

Hi ,

I am going to mark this question as resolved for the time being. If you need any additional help with this issue in the future, please feel free to post another comment on this question.
