Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

crash on launch - need assistance ASAP

Hi Everyone,

I am under a serious deadline atm and now I can't get my editor open. I hope someone can provide me with some insight regarding how I can get back into my project. T_T

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide/help with.

So in an attempt to gather more information I downloaded the editor symbols for debugging. But now my project won't even attempt to load. Instead I get 4 error popups. 3 of which are the same. This is the error shows up 3 times. ![alt text

This is the error that shows up once.

As I mentioned after these show up all I can do is attempt to re launch but I am only greeted with the same result.

Well, after much deliberation, we were able to recover the project, by converting in place to 2016. But now I have a new error in the project... One where several blueprints are dirty, but previously they were perfect. That aside, now when I try to compile any of these blueprints the project crashes.

Are you using c++? If yes, probably there is some code wrong in the constructor in some class.

No, using blueprints in this project. Probably should've mentioned that.

ok, did you migrate the project version? Or do you remember what's the last thing that did you do before the crash?

avatar image KyFer Jun 07 '17 at 08:03 PM

I was attempting to render a video using the Sequencer for one of my levels.

have you tried to open other project? I just saw your imagens, are you using this plugin? Try to reinstall that.

I have been able to get into other projects. Just not my working project which crashed originally. Also I am not developing for Oculus so I never set those plugins myself.

Reinstalling UE 4.15 has removed those popups but, still no way to get my project back.
