Strange artefacts in Cascade editor with Beams

I’ve been trying to create some kind of lightning effect around my weapons like the enchantments in Dark Souls, so I created a Particle System consisting of beams going along the axis(the weapon). But suddenly, these strange artefacts appeared:

I have no idea what they are, where they came from and how to remove them, but I think they already crashed my editor.

I just resolved it myself. It seems to have some connection with the speed variable of the beams.
If I set the speed to 0, the artefacts dissappear.
