Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How do I import assets from Blendspace, etc?

So I'm not the best at modelling and Im new to game creation.

I saw you can get things from Blendpace and some other sites. But when I download something it won't let me import them onto UE4.

Does it have to be a specific file or?

Hey Tonniqz,

For models, you can import an .FBX file or an. OBJ file. To import a file into UE4, you can click the Import button in the Content Browser in the Editor, and it will show you the file types that can be accepted. For more info on what types of files you can use in UE4, this documentation is helpful:

https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Content/Types/index.html

I'm not certain what file types you get from Blendspace, unfortunately, but if they provide .FBX files you should be able to import them without problem. Let me know if you still have trouble after looking through the documentation!
