Shadows appearing on the celing of my scene

Hey guys,

My first post here, I’ve been working on my scene for a while now and one thing I’ve noticed is that the shadows for the scene are not appearing on the ground, they are instead rendering on the ceiling.

Can someone explain why they are doing this and what types of solutions I could try.

As attached are some images of the current problem I’m experiencing.

Many thanks!

Hey, dude, old thread I know, but I had this issue as well; here is how I fixed it. I do believe your directional lighting is pointing ‘up’, causing the shadow effect on the ceiling. Ensure that, for your floor, or landscape, under lightmass → lightmass settings, that “Use Two Sided Lighting” is enabled. That fixed that particular problem for me. If this does not solve your problem, assuming you are still having it, I would love to help you through it any more.
