What does legacy in Matinee [Legacy] mean?

Hi. I have been absent from Unreal development since unreal 3. I used to be a matinee machine a while ago and some naming in ue 4 has me confused. What does legacy mean in Matinee [legacy] under the cinematic tools drop down? Is this a nostalgic name or does it mean they are not going support it anymore and legacy is some pre-curosr to deprecation? I need to animate meshes in-editor to prototype enemy movement possibilities as well as some actors moving around in the background to add life. Is sequence the way of the future for this type of stuff? Thanks in advance for any help!

up,I want to know too!

I found the answer on a different forum. Legacy means they are going to stop updating it. The future is sequence, which is supposed to be an advanced version of matinee. I’m just going to learn sequence now. Since it has matinee as a base hopefully is not too different to pickup.
