Why does fire blueprint stop lighting in my back?

Hello,

I am using the blueprint_effect_fire out of the box and i get some strange light behavior.

When i am facing the fire, everything is ok, but when the fire is in my back, then it seems to switch off suddenly.

There seems to be a treshold angle that turns on/off the fire light.

The following screenshots are taken in a dark corridor only lighted by the fire. The fire is on the left, so the treshold angle could be 90 degres.

The first one is just below the treshold angle:

And the second one is just above the treshold angle:

As you can see from the light artefact in the corner (due to a poor UV lightmap but that’s another --understood-- problem), it is the same scene with almost the same standpoint.

Problem is that it switches on and off suddenly, resulting in a very unpleasant effect.

Any idea on how i could get a coherent light behavior ?

Thanks

Cedric

Thank you very much Jacky, problem solved
