Replacing Point Lights with Emissive Materials

Hey, i am new to UE 4 and i would like to use it for achitecture visualisation.
Therefor i`am trying to figure out if it is possible to create a emissive material, that i can drag onto bulb meshes that will lit the scene.
I am experimenting with a simple scene and nothing compares to a Point light.
I can create an emissive material that lights my room. But it doesnt promt shadows with sharp edges.
I baked the light and set the resolution to 1024. Also i checked that the material and the mesh should cast shadows.

I am interested in this as well. Because i want to make fire as emissive light and casting shadows. And im pretty sure this can be done, but i dont have a clue how.

You gotta ensure that Use Emissive for static lighting is enabled on the mesh in question(light bulb in your case). You need to crank up emissive high enough to see the effect.
But be informed, that this type of lighting is not consistent between lightmass settings and is heavily affected by lightmap resolution and quality settings. Overall using point lights to represent a lightbulb is better.
