Baking Textures from Layer Materials on per object basis

Not so much a request but an idea as I was fiddling around with material functions to get a scope of them and ideas for effects… and it occurred to me that, to save processing, a lot of the things I was doing could have been baked into a texture, any chance its in the pipeline or already implemented and Ive not seen it? Otherwise might look into it myself.

We’ve talked about different possibilities in that direction but don’t have any concrete plans.

Good to know if you want any feedback or anything let me know I’ve been looking through the material editor a fair bit trying to get my head around both the layered materials and physicality-based shading.

Personally I think it would be great… especially when porting to mobile and making things like dirt/grunge maps as its kinda hard to test outside of the physicality-based shaders.
