Is 4.2.0 compatible with 4.2.1?

I’m working on a project with some friends and we all decided to cancel our Unreal subscriptions before the month was out. I kept my subscription until a few days ago, soon after 4.2.1 came out. One of my friends cancelled his sub. immediately and now the two of us have different Unreal versions.
So, are the two versions compatible? Is there any way to upgrade or downgrade Unreal once you’ve cancelled your sub?

Your friend should have the ability to update the engine to 4.2.1 even if they cancelled their subscription. They would need to follow this option to update in the Launcher to do so. Since 4.2.1 is a hotfix to take care of some crashing issues he should have access to it. The same is true of users who are on 4.1.1 who have cancelled. They are able to update to the 4.1.2 hotfix update that was released alongside 4.2.1 (I know, the numbers can get confusing!).

Let me know how this turns out. If it comes down to it we may need your friend to contact us to get this resolved, but we can cross that bridge when it gets there.

Thank you!
