Unreal 4 crash when with "ILCQ Volume" and "Distance Field Indirect Shadow" in VR

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place a staticmesh in a scene. (make sure the staticmesh asset has “Generate Mesh Distance Field” turned on)
  2. Set mobility to “Movable”
  3. Turn on “Distance Field Indirect Shadow” on the staticmesh
  4. Change “Indirect Lighting Cache Quality” from “ILCQ Point” to “ILCQ Volume”
  5. Click on VR Preview.
  6. As soon as the staticmesh appears on screen the editor crashes with no meaning full error message
