Bug: StaticMeshEditor Sections Auto does always display LOD0

As the title says, the redesigned StaticMesh editor now has a dropdown for every LOD level under LOD sections. (not the main menu bar)
It also has an “auto” option which, from my understanding should work the same as the Auto LOD Option in the main menu bar, but it always keeps on LOD0, regardless of what LOD level is actually displayed atm in the static mesh editor

should work the same as

, but it only shows LOD0, despite the StaticMesh Editor being in another LOD level

No that setting will switch LODs automaticly how you would see them ingame if they reach the defined Screen Percentage. All the other Options are a forced Previews and don´t change with distance. (Bump your screen percentages on higher LODs to see the Difference)

You don’t understand my bug report, or we talk at cross. The point is that in the StaticMesh Editor, the top main menu bar option switches automatically, as you said. I have 3 LODs for example. And I see them switch. In 4.17 Preview, there is this new option under LOD sections, which you can set to “Auto”, too. And I expect it to behave the same as in the main menu bar. Thus, when in StaticMesh Editor, the material sections should switch too, e.g. “Auto (LOD1)” but it doesn’t. Always stays LOD0 despite being in LOD1 in the StaticMeshEditor viewport. Do you understand what I mean? This is for 4.17 preview new functionality.

Not on 4.17 so I might missing something here. I Leave it for the Staff and other to check than.
