[BUG] Memory leak in Perforce Login Dialog box / Source Control button

Detected a memory leak in the Editor.
Build info

  • Version: 1808360
  • Install Path: C:/Program Files/Rocket

Specs

  • OS: Windows 8.1 Pro x64
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Graphics Card: GT 630M w/ 2 GB
  • UAC: On

Repro Steps

  1. Click on the Source Control button (top right corner)
  2. Wait and check if the memory starts increasing (it’s really slow so give it some time)
  3. If it doesn’t, close the dialog box and open it up again

Results

Mem value starts increasing. “Stats for nerds”:

time frame: 60 seconds
@t0 - 533.94MB
@t60 - 543.33MB
delta leak = 9.39MB
delta rate= 156.5KB/s

Expected

Mem value to be stable

Hi Alison,

I am investigating this issue. I have asked our testers using Windows 8 and the latest build that we are working with to look into it. They have reported that it is not occurring for them. I tested on Windows 7 using Beta 4, but I was also not seeing these results. It may be that this has been resolved and will be updated in a future release. If there are any additional details that may help reproduce the issue, please let us know.
