Excessive RAM usage when compiling Character Blueprint (4.16.2)

Whenever I recompile my Character Blueprint in Unreal Engine 4.16.2, it freezes for a few minutes and the RAM goes up from about 30% to 96%. This started to happen after my Blueprint got a bit more complicated but it’s still not very complex. The Engine doesn’t actually crash. After a few minutes the Blueprint is compiled successfully, but the excessive RAM usage continues. Updating my drivers didn’t fix the issue.
