Skeletal mesh asset has different rotation than animation assets (imported from Blender)

Hi there,

I imported a skeletal mesh from Blender 2.7x (which in itself was a bit of an undertaking) and now my skeletal mesh has a different rotation than the imported animations.
In this case I would say the animations are rotated correctly, pointing forward on the X axis, whereas the static mesh is rotated -90 degrees around the Z axis.

In the screenshot I simply dragged the assets into the level from the content browser.
Any ideas how I could rectify this?
